Electric Car ChargeShare Mobile App

Location: Honolulu, HI

Role: Lead Developer

Duration: December 2022 – February 2023

• Developed an innovative mobile app that facilitates the exchange of electric car charging spots through a community-driven platform.
• Integrated QR code functionality allowing users to scan codes on dashboards to communicate with others for charging spot swaps.
• Gamified the app by rewarding points for participation and implemented a ranking system to track top contributors.
• Focused on creating a user-friendly interface to ensure smooth interactions and enhance the overall user experience.

ETS URL Shortener HACC 2022 - First Place Winner

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Role: Project Leader & Developer

Duration: October 2022

• Served as project leader & developer for the 1st place out of 44 teams in the HACC 2022
• Designed and prototyped a secure URL shortener service for use by the state of Hawaii
• Used React/TypeScript with Tailwind CSS to build frontend UI and Firebase for backend

ITS Askus Chatbot – HACC 2023

Location: Honolulu, HI

Role: Project Leader & Software Developer

Duration: October 2023

• Developed a chatbot using University of Hawaii's ITS help articles for contextual understanding
• Utilized Python LangChain and Meta’s LLAMA2 models to self-host a local LLM Chatbot on Google Cloud
• Created the frontend using Next.js, Typescript, and Tailwind CSS, with PostgreSQL for the database

Google Chrome Notetaking Extension

Duration: August 2022

• Created a Google Chrome extension that allows for drawing directly on webpages
• Allows users to draw with different colors and undo strokes

Hawaii Digital Health Lab

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Role: Data Science Intern

Duration: May 2024 – August 2024

• Worked with advanced Graph Neural Networks in supporting ASD detection through eye-tracking data
• Improved model accuracy from 60% to 90%
• Worked with various machine learning techniques to enhance the model and data
• Created facial anonymization scripts to process video data for privacy and use in machine learning

ISEC Society

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Role: Full Stack Developer

Duration: March 2023 – May 2024

• Worked as contracted Full Stack web developer maintaining and updating websites using PHP, HTML, cPanel, Python, and JavaScript for managing international conferences and publishing research papers
• Handled administrative tasks, including sending proforma invoices, receipts, communicating with conference chairs, communicating with clients directly, and providing summary reports
• Automated several manual tasks to decrease administrative load
• Worked with higher-ups to turn unclear requirements into practical and efficient software solutions
